Phil is a self-professed adventurer. He has sailed across the Atlantic on a tall-ship, paddled thousands of kilometres across Canada in a voyageur canoe and spent a year cycling the world. Phil is also an enthusiastic life long learner and holds a Masters Degree in Leadership and Training. He is a certified professional teacher and taught at the high school and college level. In addition to sitting on the Board of CAVEWAS, he is a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRAC), Career Management Association of BC (BCCMA), The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce and BC College of Teachers (BCCT). Phil is also certified to deliver Job Finding Clubs and administer a variety of vocational interest, aptitude and achievement assessments. Phil is president-elect and will serve a two year term as president starting in 2009.
