The
Vocational Evaluator
A
qualified Vocational Evaluator
is one who ideally is eligible
for or a Certified Vocational
Evaluator (CVE) by the Commission
on Certification of Work Adjustment
and Vocational Evaluation
Specialists (CCWAVES). However,
CAVEWAS recognizes that their
are persons working in the
field of Vocational Evaluation
who are not eligible for the
CVE designation, but whom
by their training, education,
and experience may nonetheless
be competent Vocational Evaluators.
Still, CAVEWAS considers the
CVE designation to represent
the highest echelon of professional
achievement and recognition
in the Field of Vocational
Evaluation.
The Vocational
Evaluator is experienced in
the use of work sample technology
and standardized testing protocols,
such as for assessing employment
aptitudes, cognitive, learning,
academic achievement, educational
development, skills based
and vocational interests.
The Vocational Evaluator must
be a capable Transferable

to appraisal of the individual's
training ,experience and education.
The Vocational Evaluator must
be able to interpret medical,

characteristics and be able
to match these to the individuals'

achievement of the individual's
vocational goals in the most
integrated setting possible.
