      RVP - Registered Vocational Professional

The RVP designation was developed as a joint CAVEWAS/VRAC initiative to recognize those individuals who provide vocational/employment services within the rehabilitation field. The designation is designed for those individuals providing services as vocational/employment counselors, job placement and job development specialists, supported employment counselors/ coordinators, return-to-work coordinators, transition specialists, administer pre-employment/job readiness programs, and those who direct/manage/supervise individuals providing vocational/employment services.

The knowledge domain for the RVP is based on academic knowledge for applicants with a diploma or degree. Membership is open to anyone working in the field of vocational services and to those who are interested in furthering the cause of the Society.

2009 CAVEWAS Pre-Conference - St. John's

 
     

The 2009 pre-conference was held on Tuesday April 28, 2009 at the Sheraton Hotel in St. John's, Newfoundland. Sean FitzGerald conducted a workshop on "The Role of the Vocational Evaluator in Life Care Planning". Sean has various certifications and is a lecturer at Carleton University through the Canadian Institute on Life Care Planners.
