Francois Paradis is a Certified Vocational Evaluator and a member of CAVEWAS. Mr. Paradis completed a Master's of Art in Guidance Counselling at Laval University in Quebec in 1995. He has been working actively as a vocational evaluator in the Greater Toronto Area since 2001. He obtained a GATB administrator certification in 2002 and became Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE) in 2006. Over the past 9 years, Mr. Paradis has provided vocational evaluation services to a variety of clients, including:

  • Auto/Health Insurance.
  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Board
  • Ontario Disability Support Program.
  • Human Resources and Skills Development.
  • Canada Pension Plan.

New on-line course starts January 2008

Disability Management and Mental Health Issues in the Workplace

 
   

The Diploma Program in Disability Management is a distance education Program offered through Dalhousie University which provides academic disability management training to professionals in the field. We are very excited to announce our newest course.

 
       
 

2009 CAVEWAS Pre-Conference

The next pre-conference will be held on Tuesday April 28, 2009 at the Sheraton Hotel in St. John's, Newfoundland. Sean FitzGerald will conduct a workshop on "The Role of the Vocational Evaluator in Life Care Planning". Sean has various certifications and is a lecturer at Carleton University through the Canadian Institute on Life Care Planners. The pre-conference is part of the annual VRAC conference and the registration form is available on the VRAC website at www.vracanada.com.

Paul W. Power, ScD, CRC, Emeritus Professor of Counseling, University of Maryland, and Adjunct Professor at the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia presented a day long workshop titled “A New Paradigm for Vocational Evaluation”.
